Updates and Steam Next Fest

Thank you so much to everyone supporting us! Steam Next Fest's results have exceeded our wildest hopes, and it has just begun!

We are constantly working on improving the game for everyone. Currently our focus is on Steam integration and bug fixing.

Improved stability on older and low-end devices

We've added in the launch options menu to Steam. Now, when you play the game, you can choose if you want to use the Forward+ renderer (default option) or the compatibility renderer.

If you are running A Dark Forest on an older or low-end device, we very much recommend using the compatibility renderer! Especially if your version of A Dark Forest ever crashed on startup!

About the Game

A Dark Forest is an incremental idle horror game about discovering the unknown within and without yourself.

Explore the world, gather resources and carve out a community of your own inside the dark forest.

Remember… the Darkness never sleeps, and it doesn't like new challengers.
