Story summary

My father retired, and he, who had been living with his mother, finally had some free time. I thought it would be better to go find my children who were far away, and they just happened to move back to Beijing. The mother was unwilling to leave this rural town, but her daughter persuaded the mother to finally leave.

"My father and mother visited their daughter's home in Beijing. They talked about my father's understanding of his own belonging and the memories he had with his wife in the past."

Although the family members in the past memories are separated by a long distance, they feel the warmth during the two phone calls apart.
