What this game is, in the developer's words
Hamburg 1000 years ago: an immersive Virtual Reality Experience with a lot of interactive stations and a detailed reconstruction of a castle and the harbour in the year of 1024. Roam around freely or follow the guided tour in English language.
Climb the castle walls and ship masts, jump back in time and compare then and now, collect parts of a painting to create a portrait of the Duke of the castle and explore models that visualize the 1000-year urban development of this place. You can follow the fully audio-guided tour or explore the entire area freely.
'Hamburg: Neue Burg VR' was developed as part of a PhD project and aims to use the potential of VR to convey history in a playful way.
VR hardware necessary! Tested on HTC Vive Pro, Valve Index, Oculus Quest 2 & Pico 4
