Hyper Empire - Explorers

Hyper Empire: Explorers is a FREE DLC that is now automatically included with the game. The sector map now has resources that can be claimed by your heroes for buffs to your empire. Send scouts to the deep to learn about new sectors, send fighters to escort your trade routes. Build your empire.

Explore

A number of improvements and new options have been added to the Sector Map.  Clicking on the Scout button will allow you to send scouts to hidden sectors to view waiting enemies and possible resources.  Scouting ahead can help you decide where to expand after conquering a sector.

Expand

There are now over 20 different types of resources that can be found.  Every sector now contains 3 random resources that can be claimed by your heroes.  Planets, junk fields, gas clouds and more are waiting for your brave envoys to explore.  Claiming resources on the map can provide powerful short term buffs or long term income gains.  Certain heroes are required for different types of map resources, so hero selection just got a lot more interesting.

Exploit

Trade routes can now be protected by heavy fighter escorts.  The trade display now shows the odds of a route being captured.  Sending heavy fighters can reduce the odds of your convoys completing a run.  If the route succeeds, the fighters will return to you.  However, if the route is captured your fighters will be lost.

Exterminate

See the stats of your ships and the enemies during deployment!  Previously the game only showed you the names of ships as you set up your fleet.  By popular demand, now during deployment you can view all of the information of both friendly and enemy ships.  This should help cunning commanders determine how best to array their forces.

Quality of Life

In addition, many of the tool tips and pop up information has been tweaked to be more clear.  Unique Empire powers have been adjusted to bring the different factions more in line.  Achievements have been tweaked to take into account the new mechanics added with this DLC.
