The Righteousness: SanGuo is a 2.5D Metroidvania developed solely by a single creator.

This game builds a world where the heroes of the Three Kingdoms collide with the ancient monsters of the Classic of Mountains and Seas (Shan Hai Jing). The visual style is entirely hand-drawn, meticulously recreating the distinct lines and aesthetic of traditional Chinese Lianhuanhua (picture storybooks). Prepare to embark on a hardcore journey through a world that feels like a classic masterpiece brought to life.

Every character and environment is hand-drawn, eschewing generic assets. We have used delicate brushwork to construct a unique fantasy world where every frame feels like traditional Eastern art in motion.

Play as a mysterious assassin who loses his memory after a mission at the Battle of Red Cliffs. This is not just a war between men, but a struggle for survival against primordial beasts. Encounter legendary heroes and uncover a world-ending conspiracy hidden within a history warped by myth.

The Great Rivers and Mountains: A Diverse Chinese Landscape

The main story will take you across more than 10 distinct regions. From tranquil riverside villages to blood-soaked battlefields, and from the lonely smoke of the vast desert to the desolate beauty of frozen forests—experience the breathtaking diversity of the Chinese landscape.

True to the Metroidvania spirit, players will gain mystical treasures by exploring and defeating powerful foes. These relics will enhance your abilities and unlock new movements, allowing you to reach previously inaccessible areas and discover powerful hidden equipment.

Face over 80 unique hand-drawn enemies. From spirited legendary warriors to cruel, ancient behemoths, every boss battle is a life-or-death duel. This game emphasizes a hardcore combat experience; the boss mechanics are intentionally designed to be highly challenging, testing the limits of every action game veteran.

The Gallop of Legend: Diverse Combat Mechanics

Your journey isn't limited to traveling on foot. Experience the thrill of charging through enemy camps on horseback or engaging in intense aerial combat. These varied gameplay mechanics ensure a fresh experience throughout your quest.

About the Demo

As a solo developer, I hope this demo gives you a glimpse into this hand-drawn world:

• Hardcore Challenge: This demo includes three stages from the Prologue, with approximately 30 minutes of gameplay. Note: The Boss difficulty in this demo is intentionally high. It serves as a true "proving ground" for hardcore action fans. Prepare for a tough fight!

• Atmospheric Immersion: To capture the ancient aesthetic, the demo uses Traditional Clerical Script (Lishu) as the default font.

• Important Notice: The demo version does not have a save function, and some content may differ from the final release.
