In 1923, Ionia sends three of their agents to an independent city state. Their mission is as follows: bribe, bully, blackmail. Whatever it takes, Trachi either swallows – or chokes on our terms.

It's grim news for about 40,000 residents, if weren't for a group of four defectors. Supported by a group of domestic liberators / terrorists, neither party is inclined to let the city go.

Including flashbacks and flashforwards, the story spans more than ten years. One day a prisoner is shot, afterwards a girl dies to a firing squad. All of that and more, converging on a three day trip to the most important city in the world.
