About this game

What this game is, in the developer's words

Dive deep into amphibious warfare with the Danish-themed WARNO - LANDJUT expansion, featuring 8 brand-new divisions. Unlock an arsenal of new units, vehicles, and weapons, from the U.S. Marines to the F-14A Tomcat, Soviet Morskaya Pekhota naval infantry, the T-55AMD, and Kalmar hovercraft.

World War III sweeps across Denmark like wildfire. The Warsaw Pact invades both the Jutland peninsula and Zeeland islands in a multi-pronged amphibious offensive, as NATO’s LANDJUT rushes in reinforcements to stem the communist assault.

The WARNO - LANDJUT expansion gives access to 8 new Divisions from this brand-new theatre of war, each bringing a host of new units, special weapons, unique vehicles, and more.

Contents

  • NATO: U.S. 2nd Marine Division, Danish Jyske Division and Østre Landkommando, West German 6. Panzergrenadier-Division.
  • Warsaw Pact: Soviet 336-ya Otd.Gv. Brigada Morskoy Pekhoty and 94-ya Gv. Motostrelkovaya Diviziya, East German 20. Motorisierte-Schützen-Division, and Polish 15. Dywizja Zmechanizowana.
  • A host of new weapons and units, from the U.S. MARINES, F-14A Tomcat, AAVP-7A1, “Draken” F-35XD WDNS, M10 ACHILLES tank destroyers to Soviet Naval infantry MORSKAYA PEKHOTA, the T-55AMD, Ka-29 helicopter and KALMAR hovercraft.

U.S. 2nd Marine Division

The renowned U.S. Marine Corps reinforces the Danish front lines, from the LAV-AT ATGM carrier, AAVP-7A1 amphibious armored vehicles, to “Oorah” MARINE rifle squads, and the Top Gun-famous F-14A Tomcat.

Danish Jyske Division

This Danish Armed Forces’ main combat formation would be one of the first to fight, going to battle with some of the best equipment the nation had to offer. This includes LEOPARD 1A5-DK, the FENNEC helicopter and the “Draken” F-35XD WDNS multirole aircraft.

Danish Østre Landkommando

A territorial command tasked with defending not Copenhagen, this Hjemmeværnet-composed battlegroup fields everything from CENTURION Mk.5/1 battle tanks to MD JUPITER heavy trucks, Home Guard infantry, and even World War II-vintage M10 ACHILLES tank destroyers.

West German 6. Panzergrenadier-Division

This oversized mechanized Bundeswehr division was tasked with defending the West German approaches to Denmark in Schleswig-Holstein. It features a unique mix of armaments such as the older LEOPARD 1A1A2, DO-28D-2 recon plane, and Bundesmarine troops, including KAMPFSCHWIMMER and STRANDMEISTER naval infantry.

Soviet 336-ya Odtelniy Gvardeyskaya Brigada Morskoy Pekhoty

The Soviet Naval Infantry, while relatively small within the Soviet Army, were well-trained and highly motivated. The division can count on the “Black Death” MORSKAYA PEKHOTA naval infantry, backed by unique materiel such as the 2S9-1 SVIRISTELKA 120mm assault gun, Tu-22 in a carpet bomber role, Ka-29 helicopters, as well as specialized T-55AMD main battle tank.

Soviet 94-ya Gvardeyskaya Motostrelkovaya Diviziya

Acting as the vanguard in the communist invasion of Jutland, this tank-heavy infantry division can count on older-generation T-64 Obr. 81, to IRM JOUK amphibious recon, and UR-67 mine-clearing vehicles.

East German 20. Motorisierte-Schützen-Division

Attacking toward Hamburg, the East German mechanized formation would cover the left flank of any Warsaw Pact attack on Denmark. Relying heavily on reservists, specialized units include the LO-1800 ZPU-2 light SPAAG, the iconic TRABANT cars, and the attached Soviet T-64AV.

15. Dywizja Zmechanizowana

Forming part of a follow-up assault wave, the second-echelon Polish mechanized division counts on a majority of REZERWISCI infantry backed by FORMOZA recon special forces, SU-7BKL ground attack planes, the T-55U and R-330T TARAN SINGIT vehicles.

Each unique division is customizable as you see fit, and can be taken to war in WARNO’s single-player Skirmish, Ranked, and online Multiplayer.
