Shadows Of Memory Demo

This is a horror visual novel about facing the past and learning to move on from pain and fear.  In this first chapter, a woman wakes up with no memory of her past. The only thing she knows is that her name is Alice and that she recently escaped her captors after the end of a war. Hoping that nobody finds her, the tired woman seeks shelter inside an abandoned cabin. Unfortunately, her past comes back to haunt her for the crimes she did not commit. Sometimes she even feels like a completely different person...

Characters:

Alice: A woman who escaped from being a prisoner of a distant war. She only remembers her name, and her recent escape attempt. Her circumstances change after hiding in a cabin and receiving a letter from a friend that she thought was already dead. On this journey, she feels like somebody is trying to control her, like a puppeteer toying with her strings.

Heather: The sender of the mysterious letter. One of the wardens told Alice that she was never coming back, but a dead person can't write a letter. She is held in high regard by her distressed friend, being the only good thing that came out of being in that horrible prison.

Intruder: A man sent by the Knights of Rust to bring Alice back to her captors. He thinks that she's connected to their king, a powerful entity that sows destruction and chaos. His loyalty only belongs to the Knights, even though they sent him on this mission as a form of punishment.
