About this game
What this game is, in the developer's words
In Neo Naarm in the 22nd century, augmentation technology has run amok. Combining deduction, visual novel and point and click gameplay, play as Grant Grover, private detective, one of the only remaining citizens without augmentations, as he solves crimes across the city.
Neo Naarm. The not too distant future.
The population has embraced technology to augment their senses and connect them to the ExoNet, an online layer of reality visible only to its users. Corrupt corporations encourage augmentation to distract the citizens from the city's decline as it continues down a late stage capitalistic spiral.
You are Grant Grover, private detective. You are un-augmented, and your only access to the ExoNet is through primitive devices like smart phones and personal computers. Nonetheless, if you want to make rent you will need to take part in the new private eye gig economy, get yourself on the Gumshoe app, and solve some cases.
One Game, Multiple Cases
The Grant Grover Anthology is a collection of three distinct cases from Grant Grover's files, each of which can be completed in a single sitting. Each case uses a different combination of gameplay styles to tell Grant's story.
A visual novel inspired by the likes of Citizen Sleeper and Disco Elysium. (45-60 minutes playtime)
Grant Grover is reliving the traumatic memories of his search for a dangerous device sold by underground tech dealers.
Ranked in the top 6% of entries overall for Brackey's Game Jam 2025.2 (#122nd of 2,284), as well as #35th for Audio and #92nd for Innovation. Since the jam we have polished each scene with new lighting, props and animations, as well as additional interactions deepening the characterization and backstory.
A 3D point and click adventure with deduction gameplay, inspired by Rise of the Golden Idol, Darkside Detective and other classic point and click adventures. (Approximately 60-90 minutes playtime)
Grant Grover is brought in to solve a seemingly obvious murder case, but he has the sense that things aren't as clear as they seem.
Winner of the CYBRPUNK jam #2, Open and Shut has been improved with new quality of life features, new lighting, re-built scenes and clearer puzzles.
A 3D visual novel mystery with a branching narrative and multiple endings. (45-60 minutes playtime)
When Gwen suspects her wife is cheating on her, Grant must track her down and discover the truth.
A brand new case for the Steam release, written by Aubrey Jones, author of Idle Hands.
Developer Note
While two of the cases in this anthology were originally released for free as part of their respective game jams, we have polished them and added content beyond what is available in their free jam versions. With the new case built for this release and the low price point, we hope you find value in your purchase!
