Train Sim World® 6: Expert DB BR 101 & IC Steuerwagen Loco Add-On

Take on the ultimate challenge and step into a new level of simulation. From the talent of TSG comes a new, greatly enhanced rendition of the DB BR 101 locomotive for Train Sim World®, complete with unparalleled, in-depth screen functionality, operational failures and of course, the IC Steuerwagen!

In the early 1990s, a majority of Germany’s express passenger services were operated by ageing locomotives, including the DB BR 103 and DB BR 120. Both had been hauling heavier trains than they were designed for, resulting in damage over time, poor reliability rates and rising maintenance costs. Germany was in desperate need of a new express passenger locomotive.

DB signed a deal with ABB which would develop into an order of 145 locomotives, with the first locomotive completed by July 1996. With ABB merging with AEG to form ADtranz, locomotives would be built quicker in multiple locations. The first of the new DB BR 101 officially entered service in February 1997.

In the subsequent 27 years, the BR 101 has proven itself to be a capable, high-speed passenger locomotive – working as the backbone of DB’s Inter-City services throughout Germany.

In Train Sim World®, TSG have taken the existing DB BR 101, originally released for Train Sim World 2, and transformed it into TSW’s first Expert/Study Level loco add-on! Rebuilt from the ground up, the DB BR 101 now features a full in-depth simulation including; overhauled physics, full internal simulation with machine room and all interactive fuses, temperature simulation, fault simulation, authentic PZB data entry, GSM-R and more.

Accompanying the BR 101 is the sleek and popular IC cab car! Built with the same level of simulation, the Bpmmbdzf 286.1 allows for fully authentic push-pull Inter-City services throughout Germany.

Please Note: For the full experience, we recommend you own Train Sim World®: Bahnstrecke Salzburg - Rosenheim and/or Train Sim World®: Nahverkehr Dresden - Riesa which are available as separate purchases. This is a standalone product and the original DB BR 101 is still available separately.
