BEAUTY OR THE BEAST

BEAUTY OR THE BEAST is primarily an action game, with some rhythm game elements, where you defeat invaders who have come to Earth. In BEAUTY OR THE BEAST, whether your player character becomes the main character of the game depends entirely on you. In most games, the player is the main character. In the real world, even if you work hard, there's no guarantee you'll become the main character. BEAUTY OR THE BEAST is a game where you can experience what it's like to become the main character through hard work.

STORY

Invaders have come to Earth. They are merging animals, imbuing them with human souls, and are controlling them, forcing them into labor to transform the Earth's environment. Liberate human souls and animals from the invaders!

GAME MECHANICS

Defeating the fusion animals controlled by the invaders will liberate human souls and animals. In such cases, the human soul may not return to its body but instead become a fan of the character who defeated it and follow them. As more companion characters fight alongside the player character, the character with the most fans will take on the boss battle. If the character with the most fans is not the player character, the player will play a rhythm game during boss battles, and their performance will affect the abilities of the character fighting the boss, or the number of fans the player already has. You can become the most popular character and take on the lead role, support the most popular character, or simply follow your companions from a distance. The least popular character is not attacked, and the game can be progressed solely through attacks by allied NPCs.
