Centurion's Gambit takes the timeless strategy of chess and drops it into a brutal roguelike campaign across the ancient world.

Your six chess pieces aren't disposable — they're soldiers with names, experience, abilities, and equipment that grow stronger level after level. Lose your Queen to a reckless move and she's out of the fight — revive her if you can, or on the hardest difficulty, lose her forever.

FIVE CAMPAIGNS ACROSS THE ANCIENT WORLD

March through the dark forests of Germania, siege the golden cities of Persia, cross the scorching sands of Africa, brave the fog-bound isles of Britannia, and face legion against legion in a Roman Civil War. 100+ handcrafted levels with unique biomes, hazards, and boss encounters — playable solo or with 2-4 players in local co-op.

CHESS PIECES THAT GROW

Every piece levels up independently with unique ability trees. Your Knight learns to charge through enemy lines. Your Bishop heals wounded allies. Your Rook returns fire when attacked. Your Pawns promote into Queens — if they survive long enough. Equip relics, bind heartbound items, and forge your army into an unstoppable force.

ROGUELIKE DEPTH

Fog of war hides what's ahead. Lava, quicksand, crumbling tiles, and acid pools punish careless positioning. Spend gold at shops, gamble with card dealers, spin the Wheel of Fortune, visit the Oracle for blessings, or sacrifice at the Altar of Mars for War Scrolls. A 36-skill tree with 4 branches lets you shape your playstyle across runs.

ENDLESS MODE

After the campaigns, the real challenge begins. Procedurally generated levels with ascending difficulty, challenge modifiers, branching paths, and Legacy meta-upgrades that carry between runs. Play solo or bring your co-op squad. How deep can you go?

LOCAL MULTIPLAYER

- 2-4 Player Co-op: Play the full Campaign and Endless mode together. Share gold, scrolls, and the skill tree while tracking individual kills, damage, and MVP awards.

- Arena PvP: 1v1 or up to 4-player free-for-all on a massive cross-shaped battlefield. Choose from 8 factions, 10 biome themes, and optional 2v2 team mode.

MINIGAMES & NPCs

Over 10 interactive NPCs with their own games: Poker, Blackjack, Three-Card Poker, Liar's Dice, Cee-lo, scratch cards, coin flips, bounty boards, a crafting table, and a Colosseum arena challenge. Your King is the only piece who can talk to them — protect him at all costs.

FOUR DIFFICULTY MODES

- Normal: Full HP system, revivable pieces, the complete experience.

- Classic: One shot, one kill. Pure chess lethality.

- Hard: Permadeath. Fallen soldiers are gone forever.

- Classic Hard: For those who want to suffer beautifully.

DUAL ART STYLES

Switch between ornate Adventure-style pieces with faction-specific designs or clean Classic chess pieces at any time.
