In the world of Daibouken, the Creator gave up his life to grant humanity freedom, leaving the gods in charge of shaping destiny. While humans enjoy the gift of free will—a trait the gods envy—their strong spirits also enhance the gods' powers. This divine cycle, meant to honor the Creator’s legacy, is disrupted by the gods' ambitions. They compete for dominance, drawing ambitious humans into their struggles. Tempted by the promise of divine power, these humans commit dark deeds to collect souls for the gods they worship. In exchange, the gods grant them fearsome beasts to aid in their sinister quests.
