In the game Desperate Island, the player takes on the role of a survivor on a deserted island and must use the island's resources to survive and overcome the challenges posed by nature. The player must search for food and water and create shelters.

Various animals inhabit the island, which can be hunted, and there is also fish that can be caught in the nearby waters. The player has the ability to construct various structures, such as shelters for overnight stays, water purification systems, and drying racks for wild deer skins, among others. It is also possible to create items necessary for woodcutting, hunting, and fishing.
It is important to monitor one's health, nutrition, and energy, as failure to do so can result in inevitable death. If the player dies, they start the game again from the first level.
The levels of difficulty and game conditions can vary. For example, on higher difficulty levels, dangerous animals may appear on the island, along with weather changes or seasonal phenomena such as hurricanes, tsunamis, and intense heat.
