What this game is, in the developer's words
EMPYREAN//YOU is a third-person mecha metroidvania with dynamic, agile combat and a unique lo-fi vector aesthetic. Fight angels, use their ichor to customize your mech, and explore an empty world damned by a true and benevolent God.

The war was quick and total. In its retreat, humanity yielded the Earth to angels, fleeing the surface with fearful hearts and fire-scarred flesh. Deep underground, the engineers bred you to be fearless, built you to be fleshless.
