World
The end of the 21st century. Science has learned to transfer human personalities into computers, while microelectronic implants have become part of the living brain. Environmental disasters and nuclear war have shattered the world as we know it. Industry lies in ruins, wars and pandemics have claimed billions of lives, and the remnants of civilization continue their struggle for the future.
