After a brief flashback episode, the story continues in the present day.  Brigadier General Heath Tide knows Major Hanson is a threat, but can't take her out due to her telepathic side-kick Easter.  Time is running out for Heath and Namar to stop her from unleashing a monster pandemic!

Meanwhile, evil Wraith (who is being mind-controlled by Hanson) doesn't care about the monster pandemic or anything else.  He just wants to capture Tide and have him with him.  He manages to convince Heath to let him and Grisham capture Tide and Balasque!
