Playful Pursuit

Playful Pursuit is a colorful 3D adventure platformer set in the Victor Valley region of California’s High Desert. Play as Eddy, a young boy on a ridiculous neighborhood quest to rescue his beloved stuffed teddy bear, FooFoo, after it is stolen by a bully.

Run, jump, climb, dodge, puzzle, collect, and battle through bright local-inspired levels filled with goofy enemies, silly abilities, hidden VHS tapes, platforming challenges, and friends who can help you along the way.

A HIGH DESERT ADVENTURE

Explore playful 3D levels inspired by real places across the Victor Valley region of California’s High Desert, reimagined as colorful adventure spaces full of obstacles, secrets, collectibles, and local personality.

From parks and Hesperia Civic Center to Mojave River Walk and Hook Park, Playful Pursuit turns familiar places into a silly platforming adventure where anything can become part of the challenge.

JUMP, CLIMB, PUZZLE, AND BATTLE

Each level mixes platforming, puzzles, combat, and exploration. Leap across moving platforms, solve sliding block puzzles, activate memory sequences, ride rotating and expanding platforms, and watch out for platforms pushed around by the same kind of notorious High Desert winds locals know all too well.

Combat is playful rather than serious. You can use foam-style blasters, different ammo types, throwable donuts, melee attacks, slow motion, and one very silly ability that can throw enemies into complete chaos.

COLLECT VHS TAPES AND UNLOCK BOSS FIGHTS

Ned Peter Calhoun — NPC for short — needs help recovering his missing VHS tapes. Collect enough tapes in each level to unlock the boss fight blocking your path forward.

The more you explore, the closer you get to finding FooFoo.

TEAM UP WITH FRIENDS

Between levels, you return to your favorite donut shop, where you can give gifts to friends and improve their friendship levels.

Stronger friendships make allies more helpful in combat, giving you extra support during tougher encounters. Build bonds carefully, though — trying to keep everyone happy at once can create its own kind of trouble.

GOOFY ENEMIES, SILLY SURPRISES

Face a chaotic lineup of enemies, including rabid toddlers, exploding teddy bears, and kids obsessed with their favorite animals. The danger is ridiculous, the tone is playful, and the adventure never takes itself too seriously.

And if you try to run too far away from the level, your mom might have something to say about it.

STREAMER MODE

Streamer Mode lets a Twitch streamer’s chat make the game more chaotic by triggering extra enemy spawns during gameplay. It is built for players who want their audience to become part of the adventure — and part of the problem.
