About the Game

Outplay your opponents in Setback, a free-to-play first-person arena shooter where players wield weapons infused with time-altering technology. These weapons replace death with “setbacking”, where a player is rewinded back through time. Utilize a variety of weapons and consumable items while competing in movement-oriented game modes across several arenas.

A New Sport is Born

Discover an alternate future, where a company called Sci-Tech, sponsors intense arena battles that have become the world’s most popular sport. Mastering the use of setbacking, deploying items, and utilizing the arena to your advantage will decide if you leave the arena with a glorious victory or a bitter defeat. Sci-Tech may be master of the game, but you are the master of your own fate.

Parkour Gunplay

Setback is here to redefine Run & Gun shooting! Utilize movement mechanics like sliding, surface bashing, climbing, and wall running to gain an advantage over your adversaries. Fast paced gunplay is the name of the game in Setback. Express your skill by crafting your own unique way of traveling across the maps and outsmarting your opponents.

Classic Game Modes With A Twist

Setback’s game modes are designed with fast-paced mobility in mind, keeping players on their feet at all times. The race mode, for instance, challenges players to race on foot through a sequence of checkpoints while utilizing weapons and items. Meanwhile Payload requires teamwork and coordination to deliver more fuel than your opponent. Other game modes include new takes on already well-known concepts, such as King of the Hill, Capture the Flag, and even Tag! If you wish to succeed you must creatively use movement mechanics, items, and gunplay.

Customize your Athlete!

Make it personal by changing every aspect of your Setback athlete. Setback features robust and expansive character customization options. Have you ever seen skins in other games you wished you could mix and match, well now you can! From top to toe, you have full control.
