The Light of the Darkness: ORIGINS is a 2D action-RPG that fuses soulslike combat with metroidvania exploration — and introduces a rare, physics-based flying mechanic that completely transforms how you experience the world, in a universe where Castlevania meets Legacy of Kain.

As Sephius, the first and only hybrid born from Light and Darkness, you’ll traverse the treacherous Lands of Oblivion, a dimension caught between two warring realms. Rejected by both sides, you’ll battle enemies in the air and on the ground, absorb their Essence, and grow stronger with every decision you make.

Defeat enemies and absorb their Essence as your source of stamina and magical power. Each opponent carries a unique Nature, absorb them to unlock spells that reflect their elemental origin.

Combine different Natures to forge powerful new spells. And beware: casting the wrong spell can be more beneficial to your enemy rather than yourself
