You are a university student looking for a cheap place to stay.
You find an ad for a shared apartment.
The landlord is old, quiet, and polite.
He has rules.
Do not go out late.
Do not lock your door.
Do not ask about the previous tenant.
At first, everything feels normal.
You share the same kitchen.
You hear footsteps at night.
You notice small changes when you return to your room.
Then, one night, you hear the sound of a chain lock.
The door is locked from the outside.
You rented a room to survive university.
