About this game

What this game is, in the developer's words

Battle your way to stardom in a chaotic card-based Battle of the Bands! Build your deck, recruit a band of weirdos, and outplay rivals in a tug-of-war music brawl where every card shapes the soundtrack.

ABOUT THIS GAME

Acroama: Company of Strays is a music-themed, single-player card battler where you battle your way to stardom in a hectic Battle of the Bands competition. Live vicariously through wannabe punk-rocker Ash Blaze as he ditches his dead-end job and pursues a life of rockin’ tunes and wild adventures – including more than a few mornings waking up on the roof of the local pub in nothing but his underwear and left boot.

Assemble your deck and enter an epic head-to-head tournament! Face off against all sorts – from K-pop groups and rock gods to cult choirs and that one guy who keeps insisting that the keytar will make a comeback.

Turn-Based Strategic Combat for Dummies

Use your skill and wits to outperform your enemies – chain together attacks, defenses, and buffs, and bend the soundscape to your will by laying out moves multiple rounds in advance.

Control the momentum and dominate the arena through the “state-of-the-art” and “completely original” Tug-of-War combat system; drown out the tunes from those lame-wads across the stage from you and get them booed off stage to advance to the next round.

A World of Musical Misfits

Every Paul needs his Ringo, every Bob their Marley. Ash can’t win it all by himself – he’ll need a band! Build your team as you navigate a city full of eccentric musicians.

Visit the local hangouts for the latest gossip, pop into the shop for new cards, or go dumpster diving for a shot at some sweet, sweet loot (or maybe a side of spoiled yogurt).

Choose dialogue options that present you as the second coming of the King of Rock – or embrace your inner chaos goblin, whichever speaks to your heart more! There are no wrong answers, so feel free to flip-flop Ash’s personality so much that his bandmates start to consider calling a doctor.

Orchestrate Your Strategy

Compose your deck from a wide range of abilities – from powerful solos to deft defensive riffs. Every card you play shapes the music (literally!), so build a set that works in harmony… or lean into pure chaos!

Amplify your repertoire by gathering new cards: buy them from the pawn shop, “appropriate” them from the rivals you’ve crushed, or recruit new bandmates. Each recruit brings their own deck of tricks to the table, expanding your options on the battle stage.

Key Features:

  • Strategic Music Battles – Outplay rivals in a tug-of-war card battle system where momentum is everything.

  • Build Your Sound – Compose a deck from dozens of cards — each one shapes the music based on how you play them.

  • Recruit Your Band – Meet a cast of oddball musicians, each with their own playstyle and personality.

  • A Musical Dystopia – Explore a quirky and messed up world where music and performance become the sole salvation of the disenfranchised masses.
