AI Roguelite: Nostalgia 1.1

AI Roguelite Version 1.1 (March 24, 2022)

Experience AI Roguelite from the pre-ChatGPT era! A time when LLMs could barely form a coherent sentence, image generators producing a barely recognizable hamburger were considered a technological marvel, and no one would judge you for using AI!

Version 1.1 represents the state of the game just after the first event check overhaul, in which the Q&A format was changed to a text completion probability analysis. For example, instead of asking "Did you receive any items?" we would prompt the LLM "You have a new" and measure the probability of the token " item". This hugely increased event check accuracy, which previously was barely better than random chance.

Ironically, after ChatGPT came out several months later, this had to be reversed back to the Q&A format to accommodate the improved capabilities of those LLMs.

Instructions

To play this DLC, click "Download" which will start the download and forcibly launch the base game (Steam store page limitation which I'm unable to stop). Close the base game and you should see that the DLC has started to download. After it downloads, you should see launcher options to choose which version of the game to launch. Manage whether to keep the DLC by right-clicking AI Roguelite in Steam and going to Properties -> DLC.

Please Note

• This DLC requires an NVIDIA GPU with 8GB+ VRAM because existing cloud AI services at the time would've cost hundreds of dollars per month per user.

• The 1.3B and 125M models are bundled with this DLC. If selecting a larger or custom model, a download will start with some warning messages and no progress bar, and could take 10 minutes or longer to download.
