Good game, but it sits 100% of the way from its all-time low to full price. It drops harder in seasonal sales. Patience pays. Next likely dip around Jul 24.

About this game

What this game is, in the developer's words

Smash through space junk as a forgotten asteroid haunted by Earth’s past. A meditative arcade game of cosmic impact and poetic memory.

What if a rock could remember?

Asteroid  Requiem is an experimental game that’s part arcade, part art piece — drifting through orbit and memory as a sentient asteroid haunted by Earth’s legacy. It’s an existential sci‑fi fable about connection and collapse.

You’re not a hero, you’re just a stone orbiting the scarred surface of Mars. Remnants of a failed Mars colonization mission drift in silence; while a haunting view of a broken Earth hangs on the horizon. All you know is to destroy what humanity left behind, gather speed, and hurl yourself back home. Each impact unlocks poetic fragments of who you once were, until a final, emotional conclusion.

Core experience

  • Physics‑driven impact & momentum – Orbit Mars and time your collisions to destroy debris and steer your return trajectory. No weapons, timers, or enemies—just gravity and ruin.

  • Designed to unfold in a single sitting – A focused 30‑minute Story Mode reveals 50 narrated Realization Fragments before the closing cinematic. Endless Mode lets you float for as long—or as calmly—as you like.

  • Fully voiced performance – Professional anime/game talent delivers every memory and the finale, adding human texture to a stone’s lament.

  • Atmospheric Unreal  5.5 visuals – High‑dynamic‑range lighting and volumetric clouds paint rust‑red horizons and the distant blue marble.

  • Adaptive ambient soundtrack – An original electronic score (available as DLC) evolves as you progress.

  • Controller‑first design – Thumb‑stick finesse recommended; while mouse & keyboard is supported.

You’ll enjoy this if …

  • Short, reflective games like Flower or the quiet moments of Solar Ash speak to you.

  • Graceful destruction feels meditative rather than competitive.

• • You want to leave the session thinking about where humanity is headed—and how we might change course.

Developer’s note

This is a short, strange game that won’t be for everyone, and that’s okay.

I made Asteroid Requiem as a way to reflect on my fears about humanity’s future. The cosmic perspective helped me express those feelings through poetry, music, and a bit of quiet destruction. If it resonates with you, thank you.
