Poor Santiago is unfortunately one of many hit by the latest wave of tech industry redundancies, and without a decent job offer he's willing to take, he's desperate for a stream of income; it's too bad that the blood plasma donation center near his apartment is indefinitely closed for renovations. Just before all hope is lost though, a stranger passing by offers him some company for the evening, and much, much more not too long after...

But... there's always a catch to these things, isn't there?

Blood & Play is a gay, safe for work, T4T visual novel about the intersection between debt, disability, & transgender healthcare that can be a romantic-comedy or a macabre psychological horror story depending on how you guide Santiago to interpret an offer that's hard to ignore.

Characters

Santiago is the textbook example of the classic burnt-out gifted child trope, spending a lifetime studying to enter a workforce that would deny him promotion opportunities at every turn. After a few unlucky incidents that left him in a little more debt than he’s willing to admit, the final nail on the coffin was getting laid off from his job one morning. He enjoys a good horror movie or book while talking to his trusted rubber duck, Sir Java the First, when he’s not full of anxiety.


Why hello there, dark and handsome. Matikas is well liked by those who know him as he aims to please, but something about his sweet and confident personality seems suspicious, to say the least. Even if everyone else has fallen for his suave demeanor, surely Santiago won’t fall for it so easily. After all, life is never this simple.
