About this game

What this game is, in the developer's words

Boo! is a 2.5D cartoon-style platformer with shoot 'em up action and hardcore combat. Explore a plant-infested world, collect blaster modules, battle unique bosses, and uncover the city's secrets in a world inspired by vintage animation and hidden dangers.

Boo! is a 2.5D side-scrolling shoot 'em up platformer set in a vibrant cartoon world… that’s slowly being devoured by a green apocalypse.

This is a dark and mysterious tale about a city under siege by monstrous plants. No one knows where they came from, or why they’re attacking. But when Matt’s best friend Emma is taken during the chaos, his search for her will uncover something far worse than overgrown vines.

You are Matt, a tired plumber caught in the middle of the green apocalypse. Armed with a stolen blaster and his trusty plumber’s plunger, Matt must battle through hordes of mutated plant creatures, survive deadly boss encounters, and uncover the truth behind the outbreak. Along the way, a shadowy figure offers strange upgrades — blaster modules that the player assembles and customizes to match their combat style.

Every encounter brings you closer to a horrifying realization: the plants didn’t rise by accident. Someone is behind it all… and he’s watching you.

Shoot 'em up with deck-building

Your blaster is modular — each component alters its behaviour, from damage type to shot pattern. Combine modules to match your style and adapt to every enemy.
