About this game

What this game is, in the developer's words

Endless world. Endless sky. Endless light. Will the shadows be cast upon all Children dwelling on the Treetops? Regardless, I spread my prosthetic wings, taking a leap of faith.

There was Earth, and then there was the unattainable Sky.
One day, a giant Tree emerged, serving as a boundary between the two worlds. Indeed, it is said that there is a concealed Kingdom somewhere far away in the sky. Only there was no one to reach it yet.

Children are born on the Treetops, serving to achieve that goal.

And I am one of them.

Flight Day is creeping closer. It is okay to be a little nervous, right?..

Soon, the time for departure will come.
We must leave, and break a shell of the world as our egg hatches.

Right.

I am akin to a bird myself, am I?

My prosthetic wings are soon to be mine, soothing phantom pains I felt since birth due to their absence.

Just wait and see.

Characters

I

That's me. A protagonist of that story, I suppose? I was born and raised on the Treetops, just like all of my friends and other Children in the group. There are not many interesting things about me. Honestly, I'd rather talk about others.

Child with a Book

One of my friends. Mostly, people call it just "Child". Saying "Child with a Book" each time is kind of a mouthful, isn't it? It's curious about stories from Earth and, honestly a lot of other odd things that no one else cares about. Still, fun to be around.

Alate

Another one of my friends. She seems very caring and rather outgoing. I bet she has a lot of other friends as well... Out of all of us, she seems to be the most devout. Truth be told, at times it is annoying. But, ironically enough, she's not someone one can call a "teacher's pet" either.

Dross

A cursed Child?.. Or so I'm told, not sure what this is about, and no one cares to explain. Still, I can't help but find that odd. Aren't we all supposed to be equal on a Treetops?..

Pastor

Teacher and, well... Pastor of our group. Gives us lectures and morning sermons. You're out of luck if you meet him during free time. If you do, I hope you're prepared to listen him complain about how bad is: whatever you were doing and you, personally. I wish I could punch him.

Priestesses

Part of staff, just like Pastor and many others we occasionally see cleaning, cooking and doing other chores. Those "others" don't speak to us. Priestesses rarely speak to us either. They seem to do something important. No one knows what, but they're always there on every important occasion.
