About this game

What this game is, in the developer's words

A collection of atmospheric horror games about breakage and malfunction. Check for defects, write off the exam, roll the dice, and light the matches. Can you put yourself back together, or will you remain a part of the broken anthology?

Broken Horror Anthology is a unique collection of horror stories, including four games from independent developers. Each of them reveals a personal statement, a metaphor, or a game simulation of the experience of feeling broken, superfluous, and divided into parts.

Features:
A variety of settings: from a gloomy Christmas factory to an afterlife dice game where reality changes under the mind of a player who goes crazy.

An exciting and unpredictable plot that will not leave you indifferent.

Unique mechanics of fragility, subtly reflecting the inner state of dissonance, fragmentation and loss of integrity.

A limited set of items - get out, cheat, take risks, survive.

No condescension: games show corruption from the inside, without embellishment.

All four stories are set in gloomy PSX graphics, as if a broken VHS player has come to life.

Included in the Anthology:

  • Holly.. xmas! - You'll play as a Christmas elf who does the dirty work for Santa and inspects toys for defects. Everything becomes more complicated when Krampus appears, casting curses on the toys, causing them to change their appearance—some even becoming sinister and extremely dangerous.

  • Streamlocked - You're participating in Mr. Human's live challenge. The world changes under the influence of ADHD with every step you take—procedural corridors, horrifying monsters, and growing madness within. Find the exit = while your attention supply lasts.

  • Angel dice - Life is over, and you've forgotten everything. The All-Seeing Eye didn't bother investigating—it just gave you dice. Play a game where you must think and act quickly to reassemble your soul.

  • MATCHLIGHT - is a psychological horror about a single father who is terrified of the dark. To save his son, the protagonist must overcome his trauma and pass through the darkness without losing his mind. Explore sinister corridors using the matches, fight the fear face to face and be aware of the shadow creatures which lurking in the dark. Will the main character be able to save his son and what secrets does his subconscious mind hold?
