Crush Link TD is an unusual Tower Defense strategy game where you will meet unexpected mobs, defeat various bosses, upgrade virtual towers, earn in-game achievements and arrange a date with your crush.

STORY

You have a popular profile in the Crush Link dating app and receive hundreds of messages every day. On the eve of St. Valentine's Day you find your crush. After a short chat you decide to meet tomorrow evening and agree on everything in the morning.

The next morning you discover that the chat with your crush is lost among other messages. It's time to clean up all this spam.

MESSAGE FROM THE DEVELOPMENT TEAM

We are an international indie team with different experience, background, beliefs, and characters.

The game was inspired by classics of the tower defense genre.

The concept was created within a local game jam with the topic of St. Valentine’s Day. During the development process, we moved away from romance as the main theme, maintaining references to this topic, but giving preference to the interests of a wider audience, such as virtual networks and online dating.

The initial idea was to give up the typical fantasy setting of the genre and bring a new twist to gameplay. That’s how mechanics of path changing and moving towers with losing one level appeared.

Another feature of the game is the developing storyline. The Player is to discover a chat of two individuals who met on the dating app, liked each other, and are trying to set up a romantic date.

In the texts and naming of game objects we tried to implement references to famous game titles, sitcoms, and media classics. Intentionally we filled the game with self-irony and humor but it’s up to you to judge if it worked.

The title itself refers to the main objective of the game – to build a link with the Crush by deleting spam and finding their message.

Finally we are proud of our visual and sound. Everything in the game is handmade by 4TEAMGB members except for avatars that were made with a third-party avatar creator engine and later edited by our artist. Neon lights are the visual core, and you can hear motives of the 80’s and notes of lo-fi and synthwave in our electronic soundtracks.
