As the owner of a trading post, you can pursue many paths toward wealth, fame, bankruptcy, or even death:

• Develop and leverage 17 different skills, including trade connections, negotiation, leadership, architectural vision, and more. Construct and upgrade over 30 distinct structures to expand your post.

• Forge your own trading style by sourcing over 300 types of goods from local markets and stocking them in your stores. Capitalize on price fluctuations and a dynamic event system that impacts prices through factors like new taxes, guild and royal politics, wars, and monster invasions.

• Engage in negotiations with visitors and clients. Want to keep a customer’s interest? Offer them a job? Or perhaps you’d rather share a drink, play a game of dice, or simply chat?

• Are the local markets lacking interesting goods, or are prices just too high? Try crafting your own products from semi-finished goods—or take your chances on the black market.

• Consider hiring mercenaries: save on wages by making vague promises, or build a loyal, well-paid team of soldiers. You could even consider overthrowing the king—after all, who enjoys paying taxes? But be prepared for the consequences…
