Flask & Fury is an alchemical action roguelite where survival isn't about hoarding resources—it's about burning them. You are building an engine of destruction, and it runs on Essence. If you run out of fuel, you die.

THE ALCHEMICAL ENGINE: BURN TO SURVIVE

Hoarding is death. The Furnace is your lifeline.

• Scavenge ingredients from the endless hordes of the Cursed Forest.
  
• Incinerate your loot in the Furnace to generate elemental Essence.
  
• Fuel your arsenal. Every potion cast consumes Essence.

Will you burn that rare Fire Petal for immediate ammo, or save it to infuse your Fire Bomb with permanent power? The choice must be made in seconds.

THE SLOW SWARM

You are the center of the storm. The horde is massive, relentless, and exponential.

• Face over 800 enemies on screen at once.
  
• Combat is physics-based: Create gravity wells, chain lightning reactions, and massive magma patches to control the crowd.
  
• Positioning is key. There is no escape, only the path you carve with your flask.

THE APPARATUS: BUILD YOUR LOADOUT

There are no random weapons here. You choose your tools.

• The Apparatus: Spend Essence to Purchase new potion recipes permanently. Once unlocked, they are yours forever.
  
• Infusion: Feed ingredients to your potions to level them up, unlocking devastating Mutations at Level 5.
  
• The Belt: Equip up to 6 Active Potions and unlock over 30 Passive Slots to turn yourself into a walking bullet hell.

ADAPT AND MUTATE

Level up during your run to draft powerful synergies.

• Standard Upgrades: Boost your radius, damage, or fuel efficiency.
  
• Risky Gambits: Take upgrades like Alchemist's Gambit (pay HP instead of Fuel to cast) or Glass Cannon (massive damage, fragile health).

METAPROGRESSION

Death is just data. Return to The Metropolis to upgrade the machine itself.

• The Workshop: Expand your Fuel Tanks, increase burn yields, and unlock inventory space.
  
• Sigils: Equip permanent artifacts like the Homunculus Core (minions explode on death) or Warden's Sigil (start runs with massive health regeneration).
