God's Forest

In a Solar System not unlike our own, a new planet capable of life has formed. Like all such planets, it is assigned a Deity to guide life on a proper path. A few thousand years later, enter you! A young sailor stranded at sea who finds himself being sent to God's holy courtroom. Given a Major sentence, you must battle your way out of the dungeon to atone for your sins!
All is not lost though...

Magic Is afoot!

God hath given thee a wide range of staffs to overcome your obstacles. From summoning cows to blowing enemies to bits, there are dozens of ways to claim freedom!

Mystical trinkets abound!

Eat a magic acorn, attach a rearview mirror, or simply pocket a few rocks! Careful though, these items won't follow you out of the dungeon should you perish.

Help out other sinners!

Meet fellow prisoners struggling to escape!

Grow your strength!

God does not cast a weary eye on those fighting to atone. Collect his favor to purchase a multitude of upgrades both in and outside the dungeon!

About the game

God's Forest is a bullet-hell/roguelite where the hero must complete a full run through a dungeon to return to his old life.

While I believe the game is more than ready to be enjoyed, here are some additions I have planned for the very near future (next 3 to 6 months)
- An additional floor with all new traps, quests, enemies, and bosses
- At least double the current Staffs/Items
- A variety of improved UI features
- End-Game Effectors (modify dungeon layout, alter enemy stats, and other fun features TBA)

**(Lose items, weapons, and return to town on death, a few lifetime upgrades are available in town from the statue/rescued NPCs.)
**(Each NPC should be equipped with a certified groaner.)
