============================= How To Play =============================

Each match in Honeycomb Coins consists of 6 turns. Players take turns placing one coin per turn, with no option to skip or end the match early after all 6 coins have been placed, the match concludes. Turn order is decided by a coin toss at the start of each turn. The first player becomes the attacker, then roles switch, becomes the defender. If going second, the roles are reversed in order.

During the attacker turn, a coin must be placed on the field. During the defender turn, if a trap is held, it can be set.

◇ PLACE A COIN

This part of the game is what makes Honeycomb Coins unique. During the attacker turn, exactly one coin must be placed. Each coin has a numerical value called Cost, which is distributed and accumulated across the surrounding board on the place you set the coin. These accumulated values are referred to as Board Score. The total of all board scores becomes the player's final score, which determines the outcome of the match.

However, coins can only be placed on the board where the board score is either 0 or already claimed by the player's side.

◇ ABILITIES CONFIGURATION

Every coin has an ability, and by putting together a deck of six coins, you can combine six different sets of abilities. The same set of abilities will have a more powerful effect.

◇ PLACE A TRAP

If you have a trap, you can choose to set it during defender turn. Even if you’re having a trap, you can also skip your turn. It’s all part of the mind game.

◇ FIELD

Each individual space where you place a coin is called Board. There are 37 of these boards arranged in a honeycomb pattern, forming the field. At the start of each match, 6 Blocks are randomly placed. You can’t place coins or traps on these blocked boards, and they won’t contribute to scoring either.

◇ WIN or LOSE

In the end, the player with the higher score wins. To boost your score, it’s important to learn the finer details of the rules. Also, when you win a match, you get to choose one coin from opponent’s deck and add it to your own collection.
