About this game

What this game is, in the developer's words

Build an unlikely army in this medieval-fantasy roguelike auto-battler. Choose from 80+ heroes with unique powers, join one of 10 factions, and conquer the galaxy’s 10 planets to impose your supremacy. Every victory, every defeat… comes down to your choices.

  • Choices that matter: what you pick now changes what you can do later.

  • Between every fight: decisions: recruit, upgrade, brace for the next impact.

  • Tactical auto-battler: positioning, synergies, and power spikes make the difference.

  • A 10-planet galaxy: the deeper you go, the more brutal it gets.

  • Up to 4 factions per campaign: unlikely alliances, dirty combos, “unnatural” plans.

  • Conquest tree: between runs, unlock options and expand your arsenal.

Pick your heroes… and cross your fingers

Improvised Empire is a fantasy roguelite auto-battler where you control nothing during fights…

…but you’re responsible for EVERYTHING else.

Especially the bad decisions.

Every adventurer comes with:

  • their skills

  • their role

  • their synergies (sometimes brilliant, sometimes… not)

Build a team of heroes, mix classes and bonuses, and hope it holds together for more than 10 seconds.

Prepare… or perish

Between fights comes the prep phase.

At each step, choose between 2 events:

  • Training: improve your characters and make them slightly less terrible.

  • Recruitment: pick new heroes.

  • Trade: gain economic upgrades.

  • Research: gain military upgrades.

  • Healing: because no, they don’t magically regen their health.

  • Production: generate more resources to fund your bad ideas.

Auto combat, very real consequences

Fights are fully automated:

  • You watch

  • You panic

  • You regret your choices

Positioning, synergies: everything matters before the fight. After that, it’s too late.

A GALAXY TO TAKE

Ten planets. Ten vibes. Ten ways to test you. Every win opens the path forward. Every loss sends you back to the start with a better idea… and a grudge against the galaxy.

You don’t clear levels: you run a campaign. You’re not a hero. You’re a commander. You’re not trying to find “the right answer”: you force your approach.

80+ HEROES (AND PROBLEMS) TO BRING ALONG

Every character arrives with their signature power.

Specialists who trigger chain reactions, guardians who hold the impossible, threats who flip a duel all by themselves…

With 10 factions available, you build a squad like casting a show: you pick faces, not numbers.

THE CONQUEST TREE

Between campaigns, you strengthen your arsenal — not your luck. You unlock options, expand your routes, and make your plans more ambitious… without ever removing the challenge. The galaxy stays dangerous. You just get better.

If you like:

  • demanding auto-battlers

  • roguelites that punish optimism

You’re in the right place.
