Jungle Rot

In 1970, the United States government deployed REAPER (Rapid Engagement and Precision Elimination Regiment) deep into the jungles of Vietnam.

Armed with an experimental, mutagenic toxin designed to help turn the tide of the war, REAPER's helicopter crashed resulting in the contamination of surrounding areas. Unbeknownst even to those transporting it, the toxin brought on irreversible side effects...

STORY:

One week has passed since REAPER's unfortunate incident. You play as John Crackhorn, a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps who has been tasked with finding and rescuing any remaining survivors from the crash. Unfortunately for Sgt. Crackhorn, his own helicopter gets shot down over enemy territory and he is left to face groups of flesh eating zombies and other terrifying monstrosities that defy the laws of biology.

Will you escape? Or will you rot in this godforsaken jungle?

GAMEPLAY:

Jungle Rot is a fixed camera, survival horror game with pre-rendered backgrounds and tank controls. In Jungle Rot the player will:

• Manage a limited inventory

• Solve various puzzles to progress through the different environments

• Collect ammo and other resources to help fight against the numerous enemies and bosses encountered throughout the course of the game

• Manually save progress in designated safe rooms

• Uncover a mysterious conspiracy that is rotten to the core by reading files and examining the environment

FEATURES:

Jungle Rot is inspired heavily by the classic survival horror titles present on the 5th generation of consoles, albeit with some new features and quality of life additions. Below are some of the features Jungle Rot has to offer:
