About this game

What this game is, in the developer's words

Official Left to Rot Movie (Based on the Game). Luca, stuck in a creepy basement, utilizes an old Polaroid camera to uncover hidden horrors and an evil entity known as Elderblood. To flee, he must perform a lethal ritual or risk losing his soul to the evil creature forever.

Left to Rot (2024) is based on the horror game of the same name. The movie captures the spooky atmosphere and psychological horror of the game, following Luca as he fights desperately to get out of a haunted house that is full of hidden horrors and a malicious ghost.

Plot Summary

A nightmare he doesn't recall having wakes him up in a run-down, strange room. With no way out of the room in sight, he discovers dark secrets kept within and comes upon a Polaroid camera.

He is constantly tormented by a demonic entity known as Elderblood, and every picture reveals terrifying, unseen horrors and arcane symbols. The distorted voice of Luca's estranged grandfather guides him as he attempts to piece together the mystery, pushing him to carry out a terrible rite to survive.

Luca's perception of reality and himself is twisted as the malevolent monster gets closer with every camera flash. A horrific revelation forces Luca to face: the only way out is to complete the ritual written in blood on a cursed mirror.

Elderblood disappears once the incantations are finished, but not before paying a price. Flames shoot out of the camera, and Luca passes out from exertion. When he wakes up, ashes are all around him and he is in the same chamber in the morning. All that remains is a picture of him, grinning and his blue eyes gleaming.

Luca is imprisoned in the house forever, wrapped in darkness as the door slams shut.
