About this game
What this game is, in the developer's words
1799. A historical narrative thriller adapted from the novel by Catherine Lheureux. Uncover the truth in a troubled village through an adventure that blends dialogue, exploration, and the visual charm of early 2000s point-and-click games. With english subtitles.
HISTORICAL INVESTIGATION POWERED BY LEGENDARY VOICES
Experience a faithful adaptation of Catherine Lheureux’s acclaimed detective novel. A deep immersion into 1799 France, brought to life by an all-star French voice cast featuring Martial Le Minoux (Professor Layton), Patrick Borg (Goku), Mark Lesser (Trunks) and many more. (Full English subtitles included).
July 1799. Moha, near Huy, in the French department of Ourthe.
The body of Nicolas Richelle, the village priest, is discovered at the presbytery: the man was tortured before being murdered. The premises have been ransacked.
You play as Captain Grégoire Lefèbvre, an officer of the horse gendarmerie on his first mission in the region. He is tasked with investigating this murder, which echoes other brutal attacks carried out around Huy.
The victim was a "constitutional priest"—one of those who accepted the Republic's authority against the Pope's wishes—and his parishioners hated him. A robbery gone wrong? Revenge? Or something far darker?
Does the solution lie in Richelle's own shadow? What role did the Chevalier de Mélotte, a hot-tempered country gentleman, play in the drama?
From the start, the investigation promises to be difficult, caught between the friends and foes of the murdered priest.
What are they hiding? It’s up to you to find out.
