About this game

What this game is, in the developer's words

“Miners in the Mountain” is a pixel card RPG with Tarkov-like survival. Fight, loot, and build bases in collapsing mines. Failure will cost you everything—food, components, crew members, all vanishes. Meet allies and foes, build your expedition squad deck, dig deeper, and find the Mountain's Heart.

Miners in the Mountain is a pixel-art card RPG that blends "Scavenge-Fight-Extract" gameplay. Here, almost everything is a card—except for materials and gear.

You’ll use cards to battle enemies, loot supplies, establish outposts in the mines, and delve deeper into the abyss. Be warned: failure costs you everything—food, parts, teammates... everything. Encounter diverse characters; some will join your cause, others will stand in your way. Build your exploration deck and never lose sight of your ultimate goal: the "Heart of the Mountain".

Who am I? Where am I?

You were found deep within a vein, rescued by "Iron Head" of the Black Tower Society. No one in camp seems to know you, and your past is a blank slate. Yet, one obsession remains clear: a promise to find the Heart of the Mountain. To whom did you make this promise? You don't know.

— "Where am I going?"

— "Didn't you say you're looking for the Heart of the Mountain?"

Build Your Squad, Tread Carefully

Danger lurks in every corner of the mines. Bizarre creatures and hostile strangers alike will strike without warning. Rely on your supplies and teammate cards to blaze a trail toward the mountain's depths.

— "Where is the Heart of the Mountain?"

— "Further down."

Establish Markets, Trade Resources

Survival requires massive resources, necessitating cooperation between underground outposts. Use your "Mine Coins" to trade for materials, gear, food, and even labor. If you’re broke, take a look at the game’s title... and get to work (physically).

— "Why do you NPCs have so much dynamite?"

— "Rules of the underground: don't ask questions you don't want the answer to."

One Wrong Move, Lose It All

Every descent could be your last. Remember, failure means losing everything—food, parts, teammates... all of it. Keep backup supplies in your camp warehouse, or face the consequences.

— "What happens if I fail?"

— "You die, and you meet the Mountain Spirit. Even if you're lucky enough to crawl back, your gear and crew aren't coming with you."

Delve Deeper, Unveil the Secret

As you penetrate the deepest reaches of the mine, you will encounter bizarre anomalies and forgotten lore. At the end of the journey, the secret of the "Heart of the Mountain" awaits.

— "Who are you?"

— "I am the Mountain Spirit. And I am not."
