About this game

What this game is, in the developer's words

A filthy, brutal, and disturbing horror roguelike deckbuilder. Choose your hero, build your deck, combine devastating status effects, and cross Noctiria: a sick urban city where every run drags you deeper.

DESCEND WHERE THE CITY DOES NOT WANT TO BE REMEMBERED

Noctiria is a horror roguelike deckbuilder set in a sick, filthy, decaying urban city, where every battle is a descent into something that should not exist.

Choose your hero, build your deck, face corrupted creatures, and survive a night that seems like it will never end.

Every card is a wound.
Every choice is a sentence.
Every run can bring you closer to the truth… or deeper into the dark.

A FILTHY, VICIOUS HORROR DECKBUILDER

In Noctiria, you are not simply playing cards.
You are using curses, traumas, parasites, shadows, distorted reflections, and powers that seem to ask for something in return.

Build your deck during the run, choose new cards, strengthen your strategies, and create devastating combinations based on status effects, synergies, and different archetypes.

Every hero has a precise identity, a different way of fighting, and a unique relationship with the horror that runs through Noctiria.

Some strike directly.

Others poison, burn, paralyze, rot, or slowly drown their enemies.

Others manipulate combat, sacrifice resources, generate permanent effects, or turn the run into something increasingly unstable.

CHOOSE YOUR HERO. ENDURE THEIR CURSES.

Every playable character carries a unique set of cards, mechanics, and obsessions.

There is no single way to survive.

You can build an aggressive and brutal deck.
You can stack status effects until your enemies collapse.
You can defend, consume, summon, sacrifice, manipulate the rhythm of combat, or turn every turn into a trap.

But every power has a price.
The stronger you become, the more Noctiria finds new ways to get under your skin.

STATUS EFFECTS, COMBOS, AND CHAINED SUFFERING

Noctiria’s battles are built around brutal status effects and increasingly filthy combinations.

Poison.
Burn.
Intoxication.
Rot.
Paralysis.
Intrusion.
Drowning.
Rust.
Sharpening.

And many other effects capable of completely changing the rhythm of a fight.

Some status effects slowly consume enemies.
Others explode at the perfect moment.
Others modify shields, attacks, turns, intentions, and future possibilities.

Learning to combine them is the difference between surviving… and watching your hero be taken apart piece by piece.

A MAP TO CROSS. A CITY TO FEAR.

Every run takes you through nodes, events, battles, elites, bosses, and choices that can change the course of the game.
The city is not just a background.

It is a maze.
It is an open wound.
It is a place that seems to watch you as you try to cross it.

Choose your path.
Assess the risk.
Decide when to fight, when to upgrade, when to search for resources, and when to avoid something you may not be ready to face.

EVENTS, CHOICES, AND CONSEQUENCES

During the run, you will encounter narrative events, disturbing choices, and situations that can help you, ruin you, or change the way you play.

Noctiria does not tell you everything right away.

It leaves you fragments.
Voices.
Encounters.
Signs.
Memories that seem to belong to someone else.

Some choices will give you power.
Others will make you pay later.
Others will seem harmless… until it is too late.

IMPOSING BOSSES AND CORRUPTED CREATURES

Noctiria is populated by deformed monsters, disturbing presences, and bosses that do not seem to simply want to win.
They seem to want to leave a mark.

Every enemy has different intentions, patterns, abilities, and behaviors.
You will have to read their moves, prepare for the next turn, and understand when to attack, when to defend, and when to accept that something is about to go wrong.

EVERY RUN IS DIFFERENT

Different cards.
Different paths.
Different events.
Different rewards.
Different enemies.
Different decisions.

Every run of Noctiria is a new descent.

You might find a devastating combo.
You might build the perfect deck.
You might reach the boss convinced that you have everything under control.

And then Noctiria might remind you that control was only an illusion.
