You have arrived here on knörrs, with the hope in your heart and droplets of brine splashing on your cheeks. At first you saw only the snowy mountains jutting out of the horizon, then the adjacent slopes, covered with pine forests and finally – the gaunt plain belying the abundance of natural resources.
What more could you possibly need in your domain? It’s time to get off your ship and settle down.

Nature can be mesmerizing, but if you want to survive, you have to do everything in your power to harness it. Accrue the essential materials and start building the settlement. Herd the folks and give them commands that will allow you to pull together a sufficient shelter. As soon as you deftly construct the center of your small community, you can start ruling and deciding – someone has to take that responsibility!

So now it is your job to satiate people’s needs. In order to achieve that you have to provide them with food, homes, resources, and then set out to discover the new lands. Make tough choices and focus on the most crucial aspects of governing the settlement. Decide on the taxes, distribution of the goods, and assign people to their jobs. Keep in mind that the balance between folks’ satisfaction and the efficient ruling is fragile.

Pungent swamps, forest full of skittish animals, sunny glades filled with chittering of small birds, swishing stems of the reeds on the river bank – all of these natural wonders are just waiting for your discovery. Swim through inlets shadowed by massive glaciers and find new territories to annex. Meet other inhabitants of this splendid land and make friends or enemies. Send scouts, establish trade routes, and if all goes wrong – prepare to form an army.

Meet the primeval denizens of the North – the gods, trolls and other fantastic creatures. Are you willing to learn more about them, or will you be hostile?
