Project AionIX is a top-down roguelike space shooter built around a time travel loop. Every run you push through alien-infested sectors, build your ship mid-battle, and collect what you can before the timeline resets. Death is not the end. It is the reset point.

Wave Survival

Already live and ready to play. Wave Survival is a pure arcade mode built around one question: how long can you last?

• Endless mode throws infinite scaling waves at you with no endpoint. The only goal is to push further than last time.

• Normal mode gives you a fixed gauntlet of waves and a boss waiting at the end. The Drone Master. Beat it and the run is yours.

Online leaderboards are live. Your score is on the board the moment the run ends. This is the competitive backbone of the game, and it is available right now in the free demo.

Two resources. One brutal choice.

• Materials are collected during combat and spent in a mid-battle upgrade shop. With a wide range of systems to build and customize, including movement, weapons, defenses, and utility modules, every run offers new strategic possibilities. Upgrade your thrusters, firing patterns, armor, shields, repair systems, and more to adapt to the fight. But when the timeline resets, every upgrade is lost.

• Arc Energy is different. At the end of each sector, convert Materials into Arc Energy and store it in your ship's core. Arc Energy persists across timelines. It is the one thing death cannot take from you. Spend it at the Meta Shop on permanent upgrades that carry into every future run.

The choice is always the same: push harder now and spend everything, or pull back, bank your Arc Energy, and come back from the next timeline with more power than before.

Athena

You are not alone out there. Athena is your synthetic companion, built into the ship's core. She tracks the timelines, monitors your runs, and knows more about what is happening than she lets on. Brief, sharp, and always present at the moments that matter: launch, wormhole jumps, boss approach, victory, death.

She is not a tutorial voice. She is part of the story.

A story is coming

The full campaign sends you across a branching sector map, through hand-crafted enemy waves, and into a boss fight that does not forgive mistakes. Time travel is not just a mechanic here. It is the plot.

Your progression carries across every timeline:

• Clear the hardest sector for the first time and unlock the Wormhole, a shortcut you can spend Arc Energy to use on future runs.

• Beat the final boss and unlock an Alternate Weapon in the Meta Shop.

• Upgrade your Arc Energy cap to store more per sector.

• Unlock Slow-Mo, a tactical ability with up to two charges that bends the fight in your favor.
