Tell Project Electric Sheep what you wish to dream about and dive into a visual interpretation, where you talk about your dream with virtual conversational characters in a 3D space. The base game comes with 1500 credits, or enough to create up to 15 unique dreamworlds. After that, more credits are available in-game on a pay-as-you-go basis, for creating dreams and replying to NPCs.

Project Electric Sheep is an art experiment designed to hint at how AI and creativity can work together to create dynamic worlds, characters and experiences. It is an exploration of the vital space between human-designed, programmatically-generated content and generative AI systems like ChatGPT.

Chat Interaction

Project Electric Sheep invites you to discover dream worlds populated with dozens of free-roaming conversational characters, all ready to talk about your dream. These AI-powered characters talk to you and also to each other! Join group conversations, discuss, laugh and learn more about your newly acquired dream friends.

Dream Prompts

You can create your own or get started straight away with a selection of free dreams ready to go! Watch as the AI creates a compelling description of your dream and see it begin to take shape in front of your eyes.

3D Worlds

While it may not be perfect every time, our dream engine will do its best to interpret your dream and create a world inspired by that interpretation. Each dream world combines unique terrain geometry with buildings and textures selected by AI from a pre-loaded pool of assets. As you explore your dream world, you’ll also discover adverts, graffiti and DALL·E murals all generated by your prompt.

Credit System

We use ChatGPT, OpenAI’s revolutionary large language model, to make decisions about dream design and power free-flowing conversations with our avatars. OpenAI’s API service is pay-per-use, but we provide all new players with 1500 credits to get started with generating their own custom dreams and conversations. After that, players can easily top up their credits using our in-built shop window.
