Smiling Misery is an interactive tale that introduces us to the story of Margo, a jester who, weary of a comfortable life, embarks on a journey to seek misery. Join Margo on a brief adventure through a Mediterranean medieval kingdom and bring the story to its conclusion.

This is the story of a time long past.
A time when people lived in peace and well-being in the region of Verigo after an event that would be known as... The Garlic Wars.
In an enormous castle lived Margo, a young jester who served her lord at court. Margo enjoyed a life of absolute comfort and privilege; possessions, favors, compliments, and even a close relationship with her king.
A dream life that took a turn due to a twisted desire that would blossom in the heart of young Margo... Unhappiness, sadness, all the ills of mankind suddenly turned into guilty desires for the young jester.
Thus, one day Margo left the castle with a very clear purpose.
"I want to know misery."
Offering a lifetime of service to anyone who could help her see her desires come true.
What the young woman did not know was that the real world would be one very different from what she expected.
