Steam Engine Simulator - Power Generation

The Power Generation DLC adds two unique game modes to Steam Engine Simulator: Urban Power Generation and Power Generation Sandbox. Both modes make use of a simulated generator, transmission and belt system which attach to the classic Steam Engine Simulator engine. Test your skills in the Urban Power Generation campaign or learn about the simulation in the sandbox!

Game Mode 1: Urban Power Generation

Isambard, the mayor of a small town, has just purchased a steam engine and hires an engineer from out-of-town to operate it. Play the role of this engineer as you juggle fluctuating power demand, city events and complex finances. Push yourself to operate as efficiently as possible and grow Steamtown from a small village to a burgeoning metropolis!

Game Mode 2: Power Generation Sandbox

This mode is the perfect complement to the beloved base game. You are given complete control of the generator. Use it to push your engine to its limits, measure its maximum power and efficiency or just try to make it go as fast as possible. You are also given control over many of the simulator's internal parameters, allowing you to adjust flywheel mass, outlet flow rate, ambient temperature and many others.

If you enjoyed the original Steam Engine Simulator, you will very likely enjoy this expansion. The Urban Power Generation game mode is intended to be challenging but rewarding when mastered. It requires multitasking skills and many players find that it takes time to build the skills necessary to succeed. The game features multiple difficulty ratings from Easy to Expert so you can adjust the gameplay to suit your experience and skill level.
