About this game

What this game is, in the developer's words

No maps. No markers. Only dialogue, instinct, and a ruthless world. Sunrise of the Time: End of Blue is a dark 2D action-adventure built on rare but meaningful encounters. Survive Gilens’ first Hunt. This is not a power fantasy... it’s fate.

Warning: This game is not ordinary.
Sunrise of the Time: End of Blue does not offer an experience based on constantly encountering and killing enemies. Encounters are few but meaningful; the difficulty comes not from numbers, but from design.

Progressing in this world is not easy. Your path is not guided by maps or markers; it is guided by dialogues, and often by your own mind.

This is not a power fantasy.
This is a Hunt.

The first hunt is fate for a Ruan.

Sunrise of the Time: End of Blue tells a dark story set in an epic two-dimensional world where action and adventure intertwine. The focus of this journey is not only Gilens. The Sunrise of the Time universe is a vast world ruled by 12 different races, each newly forming, each with its own unique culture, instincts, and ancient past.

End of Blue sheds light on the stories of only 4 races from this vast universe. However, these races are unlike anything you have seen before. Each represents a different face of nature, war, and survival.

The section featured here, Hunt Time, is a demo-sized part of the game and only the beginning of the story. Though it may seem small, it opens the door to a much larger, darker, and more dangerous world. Every step taken and every decision made shapes the future.

In this chapter, you will meet one of the harshest races in the Sunrise of the Time world: the Ruans.
A people raised by the hunt, living through the hunt…

Hunt Time focuses on an ancient trial called the Hunt, which Gilens must complete in order to be considered an adult and accepted as a soldier. This trial tests not only physical strength, but also attention, willpower, and the consequences of the choices made. For a Ruan, this hunt is the moment when identity is shaped.

Every action you take in this world carries meaning. We aimed to give the player as much freedom as possible; however, this freedom brings responsibility toward the world. If you unknowingly move in the wrong direction, you may encounter Kiger, a drunken and unpredictable character. Every encounter with Kiger reveals different dialogues and reactions depending on your location and progress. The world is not static; it watches you, remembers, and responds.

Although this is a story-driven game, a highly challenging and unforgiving combat awaits you.
Hunt Time features only 3 enemy types, but this is merely a small preview of the dangers ahead. In future content, each race will have its own unique enemies, behaviors, and combat systems. As the world expands, the rules of survival will change.

Sunrise of the Time: End of Blue features a real-time combat system. Enemies may be tougher than you expect, and every encounter demands attention, reflexes, and precise timing. Defeating enemies grants more power, new paths, and different opportunities in later stages of the game.

In this hunt, not only strength is tested.
Willpower is tested as well.
And every victory carries you a little further.

Planned Tasks

Stat System
Every enemy has its own unique stats. When enemies are defeated, a portion of these stats is transferred to you.
If you imprison the enemy’s soul, most of the transfer occurs through Lacrus Power.
The effectiveness of the transferred stats changes depending on the weapon used.

Each weapon multiplies stats differently:

The starting sword affects all stats in a balanced way with a x1 multiplier.

A large axe found in a side quest may increase one stat to x2 while reducing another to x0.5.

Some weapons reduce damage but emphasize energy management and endurance.

Balance is preserved, but the playstyle changes fundamentally.

Side Quests and Hidden Areas
Despite being a 2D game, you will be able to travel to other maps through certain locations on the map.
These places will not be easy to find:

Sometimes by chance while climbing somewhere

Sometimes through information received from someone you talked to

These quests are completely optional; however, completing them strengthens your character, grants special items, and some can greatly affect the main story.
For players who find the game difficult, these quests can be used to gain extra stats and make progress easier.

Multiple Character Management

During real-time combat, you will be able to switch between characters to gain an advantage against enemies.
All characters you can use will fight alongside you at the same time.
If a character dies during combat, it means the story has permanently changed.

Story-Specific Puzzles
Puzzles will be added that are unique to the story. These puzzles may:

  • Allow you to reach certain places

  • Help you during long journeys

  • Or sometimes save you from death

Each puzzle will be tied to the world’s narrative.

New Enemies
The enemies planned to be added below represent only a small portion of what is to come.
Each new enemy will offer different behaviors, stat structures, and combat approaches.
