Demo version of Tank General — a card game about tanks set in World War II with unique gameplay mechanics, deep tactical battles, and a low entry barrier. Build your deck, fight against humans and AI, complete campaigns and raids, and research new vehicle cards and headquarters!
The Tank General Demo is a free collectible online card game set in World War II.
The main feature is that real tank mechanics are integrated into card battles:
Light tanks actively maneuver and spot enemies for artillery;
Tank Destroyers (PT-SAU) strike first and take no retaliation if they destroy the target;
Heavy tanks are extremely durable and powerful, but become vulnerable after attacking;
SPGs (Self-Propelled Artillery) can attack any detected enemy unit on the battlefield;
and more.
Essentially, it’s a mix of a collectible card game and realistic tank warfare.
Another key feature is the deep progression system for cards and headquarters with separate research trees for different vehicle types. Completely free of Pay-to-Win, loot boxes, or monetization crates.
Available in the demo:
Tutorial scenario;
Deck manager and card/headquarters research system;
1v1 online PvP battles;
PvE “Raid” mode (mix of card game and roguelike);
Training mode against AI;
Starting campaign scenario for the USSR nation (PvE).
Currently, only USSR and Germany nations are available in online mode, and they have full card and headquarters research mechanics.
By default, for USSR and Germany only Tier 1–3 vehicle cards, Tier 1–2 spell cards, and Tier 1 training headquarters are available. All other cards and headquarters must be researched.
Research XP is currently earned from battles in two modes:
1v1 online PvP;
PvE “Raid” mode.
The USA nation is not connected to the research system — all cards and headquarters are immediately available, but you cannot play as USA in online battles.
Upcoming development focus: Expanding PvE modes (especially full historical campaigns for each nation), implementing Steam Cloud, and adding anti-cheat protection.
The full game release is still planned for this year. Despite shifting emphasis toward stronger PvE (to allow full research of all cards and headquarters through PvE), we are keeping up with the schedule for core mechanics.
