“Quit your job, take out a loan and make a top seller game” sounded like a great idea two months ago. Now, you’re chasing bizarre bugs, combining features that should never go together, and striving to capture that mysterious thing called “fun”. Every decision is yours—and so are the consequences.
As a solo indie developer, everything lies in your hands: Adding features, editing the levels and trying to make the best game you can. Each attempt is different and gives you the chance to build the next big indie hit. Choose the perfect music, add better art and manage the expectations of your parents. The reviews will judge you in any case. It's all about The Games You Make.
Make good choices
Jetpacks or jump scares? Why not both! Choose between spending time on combining new exciting features, much needed fixes or tending to your social life. Every choice you make will be reflected in the resulting game. Turn that weird bug into a feature or work on the perfect beginning of the level. Follow up with that artist from last week’s meetup to get more visual oomph.
