THE SONG OF THE NIGHTRIDER is a single player MUSIC ADVENTURE GAME in development. It features three completely new ways of dynamic interaction through sound. SHADOWCATCHING is the first of these main acoustic features to be presented to the public.

After sunset the curse of the Nightrider not only transforms most living creatures into shadows but also traps their souls in the form of floating sound orbs which contain their precious magic. From age to age SOUND WITCHES and SHADOWCATCHERS have therefore ventured out into the dark to wake up and steal from the Nightrider's dangerous realm.



Experience the totally new interactive music of SHADOWCATCHING. Its RHYTHMIC GAMEPLAY is challenging by design and best played with a game controller (keyboard control is supported too). To deliberately set the player’s focus on the acoustic potential of the gameplay the threat of discovery by the Nightrider as well as the sword fighting remain deactivated.



Play one stage with THREE INCREASING DIFFICULTY LEVELS (mist/rain/snow). Each level requires more musical skills till you reach actual game difficulty. But be warned: Your cute opponent may become frustrating deadly if you don't learn to trust your ears and head the hints in the sound design as well as the few tutorial instructions.

GAME STORY

Every evening, the setting of the sun heralds a curse over this world. THE RISE OF THE NIGHTRIDER. His eternal bond with the darkness tyrannises the villages, hunting down whomever dares to disturb the peace of his beloved Night. Only an unlikely triad of fate could threaten his deadly reign of silence: THE SPELL OF A SUFFERING HEART, A SWORD CALLED ECHO and THE LONG-FORGOTTEN ARTS OF SURFING THE SOUND...

LEARN POWERFUL MELODIES AND RHYTHMS. Close your eyes, listen to see and discover a dark world full of sound. Sneak out at night to go SHADOWCATCHING with rhythmic tunes. Learn the arts of ECHO FENCING and how to defend yourself against BATTLE MUSIC. Gather NPC companions and lead them through relentless MUSIC SIEGES while building a SINGING FORTRESS FOR YOUR DREAMS.
