About this game

What this game is, in the developer's words

The CLF and CLP Classes were rebuilt as 3,300hp locomotives, with an EMD V16-645E3C engine in the 1990s. This pack features four CLF and CLP locomotives owned by RailPower; these being CLF2 20+ (ex GWA Orange & Black), CLF4 20+ (ex GWA Orange & Black), and CLP11/13 22+ (ex QRN Yellow/Black/Maroon).

In 1968, Commonwealth Railways (CR) placed an order for five 2237kW locomotives with Clyde Engineering to operate services on the Trans-Australian Railway from Port Pirie to Kalgoorlie. The first locomotive was completed in January 1970. CR placed two additional orders to result in a total of 17 CL Class locomotives being built, CL17 being delivered to CR in October of 1972.

In 1992, Australian National (AN) awarded a contract to Morrison-Knudsen Australia (MKA) to rebuild all of the CL Class Locomotives to two different versions of locomotive. Seven CLs were rebuilt into CLF Class Locomotives, and the remaining ten were rebuilt into CLP Class Locomotives.

The CLF and CLP Classes were rebuilt as 3,300hp locomotives, with an EMD V16-645E3C engine. Their starting tractive effort is 98,700lbs, with a continuous tractive effort of 60,634lbs at 14.9mph.

RailPower purchased a total of four CLF/CLP Class locomotives, with CLF 2 and 4 reactivated to operating condition in late 2020, with CLP11 and 13 currently being reactivated. RailPower leases their locomotives to other operators for services, where the CLFs have been seen on various freight services within Victoria and New South Wales.

This pack for Trainz features three variants of these classic streamliners, in the RailPower liveries, as running after 2020:

RailPower CLF2 20+ - This variant features CLF2 as it re-entered traffic in 2020, in the former GWA orange livery with black stripes down the sides of the locomotive, and wearing RailPower logos on the nose and sides.

RailPower CLF4 20+ - This variant features CLF4 as it re-entered traffic in 2020, in the former GWA orange livery with black stripes down the sides of the locomotive, and wearing RailPower logos on the nose and sides.

RailPower CLP 22+ - This variant features CLP11/13 after reactivation at Goulburn after being stored there for a number of years once QR National / Aurizon had retired the units.

These brand new CL Class Locomotives for Trainz include the following features:
-Full PBR Texturing
-Highly Detailed Custom Cab
