《X.A.O.C》is set in a world of exotic mythologies and legends -- the hundreds of characters who populate this universe, are a fusion of Taiwan, Vietnam, Thailand and Ryukyu cultures, resulting in an epic Oriental fantasy adventure.

Attention!! The divinities and devils, the factions and ideologies of this world are so complex and intricate, the resulting text script of this game has over 4 million words. It is not an easy task to localize such a game into English, for the moment, it will only be possible to translate the UI and certain reference materials. The production team would like to apologize to all non-Chinese players around the world.

遊戲故事描述因「天律之災」的發生，導致過往的繁華在一夕之間消逝的世界，神、鬼、人之間界線不再分明的氛圍，而玩家在其中尋求救贖、探索生存之道－「律」。透過遊戲系統巧妙的引導，玩家將進入一個四處充滿異象，山崩地裂，百鬼夜行的世界。遊戲不再是打打殺殺為主要的目的，例如透過「超渡」死亡的怪物，玩家將感受萬物一體的禪意。雖然遊戲世界看似灰暗且生存環境惡劣，但遊戲裡仍有部分的人物充滿幽默感，他們將告訴我們的是，不論世界有多麼不美好，還是可以樂觀看待，並且幫助他人。

我們希望「X.A.O.C」能以饒富「禪意」的呈現玩的過程，才能讓玩家體驗到在過去玩遊戲時從未體驗過的感受，因此我們不按照舊的模式來製作，舊型式的遊戲格式似乎已經無法承載我們的初衷，我們希望遊戲需要很多充滿特色的內容。於是，我們用了數種特色玩法，去融入玩家的體驗當中！例如：溫泉、拜拜、泡茶、天燈、超渡、養役妖、觀落陰等系統，搭配電影手法般的劇情演出，而您就成為了戲裡的演員之一。

遊戲玩法
